Studio Masr, a leading movie-production studio in the golden era of the Egyptian cinema, has been revived into a casual dining restaurant (chain) with a cinema based theme at BoxPark. The funky new 1 km strip takes its inspiration from London’s own trendy shopping district of the same name. Masr means Egypt in Arabic. Delivering an authentic cinematic dining experience that is casual and fun, the restaurant features sets of the most famous Egyptian movies. Some of the dishes have been inspired by old movies and reflect the names of the historic films produced by Studio Masr. The restaurant focuses on cuisine from Egypt while incorporating Lebanese, Jordanian and Saudi Arabian flavours. Prepare yourself for everything from classic Middle Eastern mezze and kebabs to desserts like hot date pie with vanilla ice-cream. All in all, a cosy, little place for a weekend family lunch.
